Ask a Question
  • My controller is a Nexus Bridge (upgraded to the new Nero OS). Will vbell operate with this configuration? e.g. I want to create a scene to turn front yard lights on when someone rings the vbell after dark . Thanks - Mark

Hi Mark, Your Nexus is essentially an OEM Vera controller, so this answer assumes that EnviroNexus haven't disabled any functionality that's in the Vera controllers. The vBell can sent an http request over the network to an automation controllers on an event such as ringing the doorbell. On Vera, that http request can be used to execute a scene or change the state of a device (such as a virtual switch or motion sensor). Using this trigger/http mechanism you could create a scene to achieve what you want.
